MISSION STATEMENT

To manage the operation of a store by maximizing sales opportunities and managing costs in order to achieve profits targets through effective management of human resources.

ROLES

1. To implement corporate policy and strategic decisions in the store. The most important tasks in this respect are the explanation of corporate decisions, convincing the employees in the stores of these ideas, and the successful implementation in co-operation with the store personnel
2. To be responsible for the fulfillment of generally agreed budget and to achieve the set targets through compliance of corporate operating procedures and effective management of the store personnel
3. To provide professional training in order to develop qualified and motivated staff for managerial positions within the company
4. To effectively manage the external relationships with customers and other parties such as governmental bodies, local press and communities to enhance the image and reputation of the company

KEY RESULT AREAS

1. To achieve agreed sales, cost targets, stock levels in order to achieve an agreed operations profits
2. To recruit, train and develop a team of management and staff who are equipped and motivated to meet targets set by the management
3. To live up to the principles of the corporate Mission Statement and ensure that they are realized in the store
4. To ensure the company and legal standards are achieved in all aspect of store operations such as hygiene, display, housekeeping, appearance and performance of the employees etc.
5. To implement procedures so that visible and invisible shrinkage falls within acceptable levels
6. To propose and deliver sales, costs and minor capital expenditure targets which meet the overall needs of the company
7. To market the store in the local environment in order to perform the best possible profile of the company
8. To take responsibility for the security of employees, customers, stock and other company assets
9. To take responsibilities for the store compliance with Health and safety regulations to protect both employees and customers
10. To frequently examine the store in terms of procedure, layout and organization etc. and propose suggestions for improvements

MISSION STATEMENT
- To formulate, drive and implement marketing strategies, plans and programs for promoting Metro Vietnam as brand and in meeting customer needs, thereby enhancing Metro Vietnam competitive position in meeting business and profits objectives.
- To manage all customers related activities and actions to the greatest benefit of the store in line with the company customer strategy
- To implement all promotional activities and sales tools in a coordinated fashion following the instruction and calendar from head office field operations.
- Safeguard the correct customer information is kept and maintained in the system
- To control and coach the customer manager team and the field operations support team for one store, with the clear aim of optimizing turn over, share of wallet, and margin development
- To implement and execute TGM activities successful for his/her store
- To increase sales, margin, and frequency for all the customer portfolios s/he is responsible for throughout the year
- S/he will interface between the field operations and the other departments in the store and also interface with head office
- Monitors and handles weekly and monthly reporting based on predefined formats, with the aim to optimize the output performance of his direct and indirect reports
- Monitors and takes action on credit limit and outstanding credit amounts of all credit agreements within the store scope.
- Co-ordination on customer specific needs, interface with other floor managers and sales specialists in the store team to optimize customer service levels.
- Actively develop contacts through participation in associations, events, and other branch related activities

ROLES
• Develops and manages a professional and integrated marketing team which includes managers and professional marketing staff in advertising, customer consulting, customer research and key account management
• Ensures a concise execution of marketing strategies, plans and programs throughout Metro Vietnam, balancing needs of central standardization versus regional differentiation needs
• Drives fact based decision making in the Management Board through external and internal research and analysis
• Develops and promotes the use of innovative marketing tools and activities
• Contributes to sound future business through participation in the expansion planning / pre-opening process
• Enhances customer driven thinking among key functions like purchasing and sales
• Secures compliance with relevant Cash & Carry International guidelines
• Manage the effective result of the Delivery company (third party)

To manage all Offer Management activities for a defined product group, by coordinating with Suppliers, Sales & Marketing and Category Management Teams, to meet the needs of customers in order to achieve financial and commercial targets.

ROLES

• Deliver buying and merchandising policy and strategy formulation to ensure that food buying is planned and implemented in accordance with corporate objectives
• Coordinate buying and promotional activities to achieve business objectives
• Develop procedure to ensure maintenance of buying policy
• Recruit, train, develop and manage, within budgeted staffing levels, a buying team that comprises of Category Managers and other supporting staff
• Act as OM representative within MCC VN on Cross Functional Team and as part of a Project Team.

KEY RESULT AREAS

• Develop a yearly sales and promotion plan which maximizes sales opportunities from selected customer branches
• Coordinate the development, design and implementation of a merchandising and category strategy that achieve all financial targets such as sales, stock and profit for the product group.
• Manage the performance of a defined product group effectively in terms of pricing, promotion, products assortment, quality of products, planning and allocation.
• Regular monitoring and updating of Shape Measures
• Recruit, train, develop and manage, within budgeted staffing levels, Buyers and other supporting staff to enhance their capability in selecting and merchandising products that meet customer needs
• Identify, plan and organize market research, analysis and evaluation to identify customers’ needs and merchandise opportunities
• Develop and monitor guidelines for space allocation and packaging to ensure profit per square meter is maximized, presentation continually improved and safeguard against pilferage
• Coordinate, plan and monitor the implementation of all promotional activities, within the product group to comply with the sale plan to create competitive image and ensure that it reaches target customers in a cost effective manner
• Develop and maintain a supplier base in Vietnam and abroad, exploiting opportunities for synergy with Metro companies to satisfy volume, cost, quality and delivery requirements
• Plan and develop appropriate methods of distribution for goods so that the company obtains maximum benefits and ensures maximum product availability
• Develop and maintain effective internal communications channel particularly with other Category Management teams, sales & marketing, logistic and other functions within the organization
• Ensure effective communication of Strategy and Category Objectives with Operations and regular follow-up for feedback and checks on progress
• Liaise with the QA Manager to develop needed quality policies and procedures for a product within the group and to monitor the implementation of those policies and procedures
• Be committed to self development and enrichment of their knowledge and skills by planning and attending agreed training courses
